Mr. Doug Daughtry, Principal
Ms. Valerie Cason, Assistant Principal

Kempsville Meadows Elementary is a wonderful place to learn! What makes us a great school is our faculty-staff, our students, and our parents. Our teachers are professional educators focused on helping every student learn in a caring and challenging environment.
We want to bring out the very best in each child. We expect students to work their hardest; practice helpful behaviors throughout the day; and enjoy learning. Accomplishing this comes through the combined efforts of the school partnering with the home to do what’s best for each student.

We enjoy good communication with the parents/guardians of our students. It is obvious by our students' achievements that our parents are involved in their children's' lives, help them with their homework, keep the lines of communication open with their child's teachers, and positively support the school.

We also enjoy partnership with our KMES PTA. This great parent-teacher organization does many things each year to help our students and staff. KMES enjoys a high level of parental involvement and community members are encouraged to become a part of the "many hands" that make this school a great place!

School year 2007-2008 promises to be an exciting one! Our Lion Cub mascot identifies our "pride" and looks ahead to great achievement for each student.

Our goal is to make your child's elementary school experience a positive one through continually improving teaching and learning. Thanks for your support as we learn and grow together! Sincerely,

Douglas S. Daughtry
Principal
