Mrs. 1st Grade Room 302 Updated 03/21/08 Dear Parents, April is going to be a busy month at KMES: April is Math Month. Each
student will be receiving a calendar with daily math activities to be
completed at home. This activity is
optional. April 8th-picture day April 11th- Our K-2 Math Night will be held in the
cafeteria from 6:30-7:30 P.M. Please
come join us and learn to play some of our fun math games. Information will be sent home later this
month. April 16th-Animal projects are due. Please make sure the project is either a
booklet or a poster. Do not simply
return the direction sheet. Please continue to support our At-Home Reading Program. Students should read at least one book each
week. Encourage your child to use the
decoding skills we have been practicing in class. Remember to ask various comprehension
questions from the sheet we have provided. It is important that folders are checked and initialized each
day. Review the completed papers
together and use these papers to further practice the skills being
taught. Discuss your child’s behavior
for the day. Offer praise or
