Aim for all A’s:  Attendance, Attitude, and Achievement.

In social studies, we will continue our study of Virginia by taking the Chapter 2 test on Tuesday.  We will begin our study of the early American inhabitants of Virginia.  We will focus on the three main language groups. We are very fortunate to live in a state so rich in history.J

In math, we will continue Unit 10; Geometric Patterns and Solids. We will also do various activities to pre pare for SOL tests. We will continue learning algebraic concepts as we explore Hands-On Equations.  We continue to work in Groundworks; problems that involve algebra puzzles and problems.  Mastery of basic multiplication facts is essential to success in math this year.  Our goal is 50 problems in two minutes.  J

In science, we will think like a botanist as we learn about dormancy and the life cycle of a plant.  We will also do various activities to review in preparation for the unit test to be given during the latter part of the week.  J

Aprils’ Principle of American Citizenship is Self-Control.

If you have not already done so, please consider joining P.T.A.
