  The first week of school is off to a great start!!! We have been working on following   

              directions, organization skills, and classroom rules. I am looking forward to working with

 Math Unit 1- Geometry

              We’ll be exploring polygons & creating our own polygon designs J

                      

              Important concepts and vocabulary:

             What is a polygon? What types of shapes are or are not polygons? How can we measure

                and describe polygons?

 Social Studies

         Our study begins with the 4 strands of Social Studies which are Geography, History/Culture,

               Civics/Government, and Economics. Next we will study the 5 themes of Geography.

  Science

          Our first unit of study will be the relationship between the earth, the moon, and the sun.
